Standard Features

What You Get as Standard

Every curved stairlift we install comes with these features as standard.

Custom-Built Rail

Every rail is precision-manufactured to follow the exact shape of your staircase, including bends and landings.

Powered Swivel Seat

Electrically powered swivel makes getting on and off at the top of the stairs safe and effortless.

Powered Hinge Rail

Optional powered hinge at the bottom of the rail folds it out of the way of doorways automatically.

Slim Rail Design

Modern curved rails sit close to the wall, taking up minimal space even on narrow staircases.

Multiple Seat Options

Choose from standard, perch or slim seats to suit your comfort and staircase width.

Remote Controls

Two remote controls included, so you can call the stairlift to whichever floor you need it on.

Precision Engineered

Custom-Built for Your Staircase

Unlike straight stairlifts that use a standard rail, every curved stairlift is custom-manufactured to follow the exact shape of your staircase. Our surveyor uses precision measuring equipment to map every bend, turn and landing.

We supply curved stairlifts from leading manufacturers including Stannah, Handicare and Thyssen. Each rail is built to order and installed by our experienced engineers with a full warranty.

Free Home Survey Required

Because every curved rail is unique, a free home survey is essential. Our surveyor will measure your staircase and show you exactly how the stairlift will fit.

Curved Stairlift Questions

How much does a curved stairlift cost?

Curved stairlifts start from around £3,450, with most installations costing between £4,000 and £6,000. The price depends on the complexity of your staircase - the number of bends, the overall length of the rail, and any special features such as a powered swivel seat or folding rail. Because every curved rail is made to measure, an accurate quote requires a free home survey.

How long does a curved stairlift take to install?

After your survey and order, the bespoke rail is manufactured to fit your exact staircase. This typically takes 3 to 4 weeks. Installation itself then takes approximately a day. We will give you an estimated delivery date when you place your order and keep you updated throughout.

Can a curved stairlift be removed and rehung in a new home?

No - a curved stairlift rail is made precisely for one staircase and cannot be transferred to another property. If you move home, a new curved stairlift would need to be manufactured for your new stairs. For this reason, some customers on curved staircases prefer a rental arrangement, or factor this into their long-term plans when buying.

Do curved stairlifts work on stairs with a landing?

Yes. Curved stairlifts are designed specifically for staircases with bends, turns and intermediate landings. A single rail can navigate multiple turns and travel continuously from ground floor to top floor without the user needing to change seats. This makes them ideal for traditional Scottish tenements and multi-level homes.
